Examples of rename capabilites

ZTree has a very powerful renaming capability. This is documented in online Help 3.3 Renaming Files and Directories. The following are some useful rules, which can be placed in your History.

:nn-: :(mmm):	Add Sequential Numbers to filename with the : mask. The ''numbers" (nn/mmm) define both the size of the number (digits) and the starting value. It will prepend or append to the filename, depending on where in the rename mask it's placed. Punctuation is allowed but not letters.
" "_"B|"."-"N|","-"B|"'""B	Tidy funny Windows filenames (spaces => underlines, periods in filename => hyphen, commas => hyphen, delete apostrophes)
"%20" "	Fix filenames with html escape sequences
*:w_yyyymmdd:.*	Append Last Written Date to filename
*:c_yyyymmdd:.*	Append Creation Date to filename
