ZbarFileInfo

ZbarFileInfo ZAAP

ZbarFileInfo is a ZTreeWin Assistant Application (ZAAP) which display File Information, including:-
  • Hard Links
  • Junction Points
  • Path Length
  • "inode"/FileIndex.
This also (optionally) displays hardlinks (if any) and a date on the ZTreeWin Title. ZbarFileInfo will attempt to find the Unicode/ANSI name of the file in zbar.dat. If Titlebar display is enabled the ZTreeWin title will be updated with the Unicode/ANSI name. The primary purpose of this program was to display Hard Links and directory/filename on the Titlebar, but ZTreeWin now includes this functionality. It however provides ready access to additional file information without the need to use Alt Info. ))ZbarFileInfo(( pops up a small (22 * 9) window, which displays the current File Information.

This is intended to fit into the ZTreeWin Statistics window, below the current information (on displays of 44+ lines). There is a configuration option to allow ZbarFileInfo to automatically position itself in the ZTreeWin Statistics window. This is only useable for displays of 43 lines or more, using the narrow ZbarFileInfo. The size of this window can be changed by changing Font or Width in the Configuration Menu. If the optional "inode"/FileIndex display is enabled the window size is increased by 1.

Installation

Starting with Version 4.0a ZbarFileInfo comes in Unicode and ANSI versions. Extract ZbarFileInfo.exe or ZbarFileInfoA.exe into any directory and execute. ZTreeWin needs to have the ZAAP feature enabled (by use of the /ZB command line switch).
The optional Titlebar can not be used with ZTreeWin earlier than Version 1.60.3
If the optional Titlebar display is enabled, ZTreeWin (1.60.9 or later) must be started with the /TO Command line switch (/TZVO recommended). ZTreeWin 1.60.11 or later spits the dummy if its Title length is changed. To make space for the display, pad with at least 40 spaces by using the /T" " Command line switch e.g. 
/ZB /TZVO /T"                                      "
If there is insufficient space, the title will be truncated. No installation is needed. These programs do not modify the Registry or create any files on your computer (apart from ZbarFileInfo.ini if saved).
